Last night we brought you a story featuring northwest water groups, wanting to know where $3.4-million in federal government funding has gone.
The water minister has since responded, and the community is no where nearer to receiving the money.
Namoi Water and the local catchment management authority have slammed Penny Wong, for failing to release the community development funding, approved in 2006.
While the water groups say they have a signed contract guaranteeing the money, the minister’s office says it was an initiative of the previous government.
