WINNING START FOR COAST CRICKETERS

The Central Coast has defeated Central Northern on day one of the Country Championships in Narrabri. After losing two for 25, Peter Gallichan and Reece Bombas steadied the innings, before Kaine Harmsworth blasted 70 runs off 64 balls. Chasing 188 for victory, the home team were all out for 143.

MAGPIES TO FACE NARARA IN COAST CRICKET DECIDER

Lisarow has survived a batting collapse against reigning premier Kincumber to qualify for the Central Coast Cricket Grand Final. Holding a 19 run first innings lead, Lisarow were reeling at five for 52 in their second dig, before a 57 run partnership between Ryan Fenning and David Mitchell secured victory. The Magpies now face Narara. In 2013, the sides met in an epic decider, with Narara winning a thriller by two runs.
