COAST PAIR SENT PACKING IN PORTUGAL

Both Central Coast surfers were knocked out in Round Three in Portugal. World number five Matt Wilkinson fell to Italian Leo Fioravanti. WILKO AND BUCHAN BOTH OUT IN FRANCE

Matt Wilkinson’s poor tour performance continued overnight, bowing out of the Quicksilver Pro in Round Three. His top score a 7 point 7, but a broken board at the end of the heat lost him critical time. This is the third finish at 25th place for Wilkinson…his world title contention slipping further out of reach. Meanwhile, Avoca’s Adrian Buchan was also knocked out in Round Three, losing his lead in the final minute. (NO AUDIO)

FLORES DOWNS ACE IN EPIC

Avoca’s Ace Buchan has been eliminated from the Quiksilver Pro on the Gold Coast in what’s been described as the heat of the contest so far. He went down against Jeremy Flores, who claimed victory by zero point three. But the Frenchman, couldn’t replicate the feat against Matt Wilkinson; the reigning champ triumphant 15.1 to 14.6

ACE SURFS HIS WAY INTO ROUND THREE IN TAHITI

Central Coast surfer Adrian Buchan has progressed straight to round three of the Billabong Pro in Tahiti, after taking out his round one heat today. The 2013 Teahupo’o champion spent 50 minutes in the water, eventually earning a two-wave score of 12. A decent effort for what were challenging conditions. Meanwhile, Copacabana’s Matt Wilkinson was also in the water today and finished second in his heat. He’ll surf again in round two. (AUDIO IN PARTS)
