Police have laid extra charges against a man who allegedly murdered his father in South Murwillumbah last year.
46-year-old Michael Anthony Martin died at his unit on Quarry Road on June 13 last year.
His 25-year-old son was charged with his murder in March.
Police say Mr Martin was the target of a previous home invasion in April 2014, which left him seriously injured.
Detectives have now charged his son in relation to that incident and he’ll face Newcastle Local Court today.
