ANOTHER WIN FOR NEWCASTLE AT STATE UNDER 17 CRICKET TITLES

Rain interrupted play at the state under 17 championships, with Newcastle well in front on run rate against the Central Coast.
Jason Sangha got the Newcastle innings off to a flying start, scoring 35 quick runs before he was caught off the bowling of Zac Abel.
Jordy Toby and Peter McCredie then set about building a big total for the home side.
Toby finished with 59, McCredie ended on 51, Newcastle notching 256.
In reply, the Central Coast was eventually bowled out for 160.
