Security will be ramped up at this year’s Gold Coast 600, with Australia’s upgraded terror threat at the forefront of planning for the event.
Today police, firefighters and paramedics met with event organisers ahead of kick-off for the tourist drawcard.
They’re planning how best to use CCTV cameras, foot patrols, even helicopters to keep the crowds safe.
