Multi-million dollar business, Bellata Gold Pasta, is preparing to leave Tamworth after what the owner says is a lack of support for the manufacturing and export industries.
At the community cabinet meeting held earlier this week, the factory’s owner, Doug Cush asked Barry O’Farrell what he was going to do to help save local industry….
“I will be removing one of our businesses out of this community – not that I want to but it will be going to Victoria because we don’t have any infrastructure here to compete on the international market.”
Mr Cush plans to relocate the Tamworth manufacturing plant in the coming months.
