GARRY STEVEN DAVIS SENTENCED TO 40 YEARS IN JAIL FOR NURSING HOME MURDERS

Garry Steven Davis has been sentenced to 40 years in jail, with a non-parole period of 30 years, for the murders of two nursing home patients while in his care.

Davis injected three people with large doses of insulin over a two-day period at the Summitcare facility at Wallsend, while working there in 2013.

Gwen Fowler, 83, and Ryan Kelly, 80, died as a result, while Audrey Manuel, 91, recovered, but has since died from unrelated causes.
