Federal Member for Richmond, Justine Elliot has abandoned her role as Parliamentary Secretary for Trade.
The decision was made to allow Ms Elliot to continue her campaign against Coal Seam Gas Mining on the North Coast.
She says that her opposition to CSG conflicted with her obligations within the trade sector.
