A cyclist has died after being hit by a truck at the intersection of Perkins and King street in Newcastle East.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 9:30 on Wednesday morning to treat the female cyclist, but she died shortly after.
The truck driver was uninjured and taken to the Mater Hospital for mandatory testing.
Investigators remain at the scene.
