SEARCH CONTINUES FOR NEWCASTLE ARMED ROBBER

Police are appealing for dash-cam footage to help track down a man after he robbed a Booral service station at knife point on Friday morning.

Around 5:25am, the man threatened staff and customers, before stealing cash and cigarettes.

The man made off in a customers Mazda on The Buckets Way, with police later finding the stolen car on Franklin Street in Karuah.

Officers are now appealing for assistance from drivers who may have seen him driving between the Pacific Highway and Stroud, between 3am and 6am.

He’s described as a thinly-built Caucasian with a tanned complexion, aged in his late 20’s and 183cm tall.
