ALLEGED CASINO ARMED ROBBER QUESTIONED IN GYMPIE

Meantime Richmond Police are planning to extradite a man from Queensland over the alleged robbing of the Tweed Cash Shop last week and the Summerland Credit Union in Casino last month.

Just before 10.30am on May 23, a man allegedly threatened female tellers with a 25 centimetre knife before running off with cash.

On Friday, Richmond detectives interviewed at 21-year-old Casino man in Gympie where he allegedly made admissions relating to both robberies.

Police say he’s currently being held in Queensland for similar offences.
