ROOS END LOSING STREAK WITH DRAMATIC DRAW

The Roos have ended their five-match losing streak in the NSW Cup, sharing the points against Newcastle this afternoon.

It was the battle of the cellar dwellers – both sides were desperate to climb the ladder making for an action-packed first-half at Morry Breen Oval.

Five tries were scored in the opening half hour with Brodie Jones opening for the Knights, before Josh Curran responded for the hosts.

Paul Momirovski etched his name onto the score sheet soon after for Wyong, but Newcastle held a two-point lead at the break.

In a nail-biting final few minutes for fans… Sean O’Sullivan and Jack Johns both kicked late field goals for a 23-23 draw.

Next up for Rip Taylor’s side, Wentworthville at Leichhardt Oval next Saturday.
