The newly elected Coffs Harbour City Council held its first meeting last night with new mayor, Denise Knight, in the chair for the first time.
Ms Knight replaces former mayor, Keith Rhoades, who held the position
for the past eight years.
Woologoolga based councillor, John Arkan, was elected unopposed to the position of deputy mayor.
Mr Arkan, who has served as a councillor for four years, finished in second place in the mayoral contest behind the current mayor.
