PUTTY ROAD CLOSED FOLLOWING SERIOUS CRASH

There’s been a serious crash on Putty Road south of Singleton.

Emergency services were first alerted to the accident just before 2 o’clock this afternoon, after reports a motorcycle had collided with a car.

A rescue helicopter has been sent to the remote location, which is around 20 kilometres south of Bulga.

Earlier in the day, a man in his 40s had to be flown to hospital after a single vehicle crash near Dungog north of Newcastle.

The 48-year-old was left with multiple injuries as a result of the crash at Bendolba, with paramedics working to stabilise him at the scene.

He was flown to Newcastle’s John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
