TWO MEN HOSPITALISED AFTER UNPROVOKED GOLD COAST ASSAULT

Two men have been assaulted – one knocked unconscious – during an unprovoked attack on the Gold Coast.

Shortly after 3am, the men were among a group of friends on Archipelago Street at Pacific Pines, when two other men approached the group.

Police say an unprovoked altercation broke out, resulting in the assault of two men.

A 17-year-old man was knocked unconscious, and an 18-year-old man suffered facial injuries.

Both were taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital and are reportedly in a stable condition.

Anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the area around the time of the incident is urged to contact police.
