NEWCASTLE DRIVER ALLEGEDLY THREE-TIMES OVER THE LIMIT

A man will front Newcastle Bail Court after allegedly being caught driving three times over the legal limit this morning.

Police allege the 34-year-old male driver failed to stop for an RBT on Kings Road at New Lambton shortly before 1am.

The vehicle was eventually pulled over on Glebe Road at Adamstown, where the driver allegedly failed a roadside breath test.

He was arrested and later returned an alleged breath analysis reading of 0.164.

The man was charged with high-range drink driving, not obeying the direction of police, and breach of bail.
