Man found guilty of murdering Stockton grandmother, Stacey Klimovitch

Canberra man Jason Hawkins has been found guilty of the murder of Stockton grandmother, Stacey Klimovitch.

Hawkins shot the 61-year-old at close range, as she opened the front door to her home on the night of June 9. 2021.

The 48 year old hitman was hired to carry out the killing by Stuart Campbell, the now deceased former partner of Ms Klimovitch’s daughter.

A jury returned the verdict this morning following a lengthy Supreme Court trial in Newcastle.
