A 22-year-old man from Muswellbrook died when his ute left a quiet country road and crashed into a gum tree near Jerry’s Plains last night.
Police say it appears, the Falcon, crossed to the wrong side of Edderton Road, and travelled along a gravel shoulder before hitting the tree.
Crash investigators suspect a momentary lapse of concentration led to a fatal crash near Woodberry yesterday.
31-year-old Lawrence Smith from Woodberry was killed when the car he was driving pulled out of an intersection into the path of a truck. His wife Sharon who was a passenger in the car is in a stable condition in the John Hunter Hospital. The 29-year-old truck driver was not injured.
