JETS W-LEAGUE SQUAD CONTINUES TO TAKE SHAPE

The Jets W-League squad continues to take shape, with former Brisbane forward, Cortnee Vine, joining teammates at the members launch yesterday.
She’s excited about playing for Newcastle, but also hoping to help the Young Matildas qualify for the Under-20 World Cup.
“So we’ve got a couple more camps coming up then we’re going to China so that’s next month so that should be a challenge but hopefully we qualify and go to France next year.”
Newcastle coach Craig Deans is expected to announce the signing of two American imports this week, but is still negotiating with Matildas’ Chloe Logarzo and Gema Simon.
“Pretty certain she’ll be back. Chloe is a different story, she’s had injuries, spent a lot of time away from home so still talking with her about what the chances are of being here.”
