Man jailed for disposing of woman’s body

A Hunter man could be released from jail as early as today, for disposing of a young mother’s body in Cockle Creek almost four years ago.

Justin Dilosa wrapped Danielle Easey in plastic and dumped her in the creek almost two weeks after she was murdered by Carol McHenry, his former girlfriend.

Today Ms Easey’s mother described Dilosa as “evil” and a “coward” for not helping her daughter, who was killed at a Narrara home in August 2019.

37-year-old Dilosa was found not guilty of murder by a jury in August. He had previously pleaded guilty to being an accessory after the fact to murder.

Today he was jailed for at least four years, but given time already served he was eligible for parole back in September.

McHenry has been jailed at least 15 years and six months, and is able to apply for parole in March 2035.
