Newcastle Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes says a council rift is stalling an attempt to seek legal advice, over the proposed merger with Port Stephens.
“We believe there are a number of flaws in the delegates report, we are always very concerned at the cost to rate payers”, says Newcastle Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes.
Liberal councillors have launched a recission motion against seeking the advice, arguing it’s pointless and too expensive.
