A 16-year-old Newcastle boy will remain behind bars tonight, following an alleged police pursuit on the mid north coast this morning.
A chase was initiated at about 7:30am, after members of the public reported a Nissan Pathfinder being driven erratically on the Pacific Highway.
The youth was later arrested in bushland near Old Bar.
He’s now facing several driving and fraud charges including vehicle theft.
He’ll re-appear at Taree Local Court next week.
