SCARCITY OF ROCKS DELAYS WORK ON NORTH WALL UPGRADE
A shortage of suitable rock has seen work on the upgrade of Coffs Harbour’s Northern breakwall grind to a halt.
Little has happened at the breakwall since the end of February, but work should resume in around a month, now that new sources of rock have been found.
The upgrade project requires around 30,000-tonnes of rock weighing five to eight tonnes each.
Work on the marina boardwalk is due to be finished by Easter and the entire project by the end of November.
