DAMIAN LEEDING REMEMBERED AT GOLF DAY

More than 200 golfers have turned out to remember fallen officer Damian Leeding, and raise money for Queensland Police Legacy.

Two years ago to the day, the Detective Senior Constable was shot during a botched armed robbery at Pacific Pines, and died days later.

Today’s annual golf day received overwhelming support from local businesses.

“We’ve been sold out now, the days been sold out for over a month now and we actually have a reserve list which is amazing, we physically can’t fit any more people on the course today so we’re completely booked out.”

They’re hoping to raise up to $20,000.
