GLENIFFER WOMAN IN HOSPITAL AFTER HORSE FALL

A woman was airlifted to hospital this afternoon after falling from a horse at Gleniffer, west of Coffs Harbour.

The 43 year old was riding with a friend when she came off the horse along Gordonville Road just after midday.

She was knocked unconscious, suffering head and chest injuries.

The local woman was treated at the scene by ambulance officers before being flown by the Westpac Rescue Helicopter to Coffs Harbour Base Hospital where she remains tonight in a stable condition.
