MATT HALL AND THE NEWCASTLE JETS JOIN FORCES

He used to fly jets in the Australian Air Force, but today Matt Hall was trying to inspire Jets.
The Red Bull Air Race pilot was brought in by the A-League club for a motivational pre-season talk.
“I think it’s a natural thing, I’m a proud Novocastrian, to be involved with a Novocastrian team with Jets as their logo it kinda makes sense.”
Hall has just returned from Hungary where he recorded his first podium finish this season.
Having overcome a back injury that affected the opening three rounds, the 44-year-old believes he’ll have to repeat history to claim top spot.
“Last season, for the second half of the year we podiumed every race and won two of them. We’re in there with a realistic shot of being world champion.”
Hall returns to Europe in two weeks to prepare for round five at Royal Ascot.
