RESIDENTS FLEE LAKE MACQUARIE HOME AFTER IT GOES UP IN FLAMES

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire in Lake Macquarie early this morning.
Residents on Livingston Street at Belmont called police after they woke to a home on their street well alight around 4.15am.
There are reports it might have been a fire bomb that set the home ablaze, with neighbours saying they heard a loud bang before the fire took hold.
Crews from Fire and Rescue NSW arrived on scene and worked for 45 minutes to extinguished the blaze.
All of the people inside the home escaped without injury.
Officers from Lake Macquarie Police District have established a crime scene and have commenced inquiries into the cause of the blaze.
Anyone who may have seen or heard anything suspicious around the area in the early hours of Thursday morning, who may have CCTV or dash-cam footage, or who may have other information which may help investigators is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
