Health Minister Jillian Skinner has assured Armidale residents the state government’s $10-million commitment to the city’s hospital redevelopment remains firm.
Mrs Skinner made the announcement while paying the facility a visit today.
New South Wales is now waiting on the federal government to confirm its pledge of $50-million towards the project before it can go ahead.
Barry O’Farrell has also put forward almost $7-million for a new ambulatory care centre.
Mrs Skinner says it’s all part of providing quality care closer to home for rural and regional communities.
