Byron Bay’s Soli Bailey has made it through to the second round of the World Junior Surfing Championships in Portugal.
The 20 year old defeated American Griffin Colapinto and South Africa’s Adin Masencamp; negotiating three foot swell to post a final score of 16.10.
Their heat was the last of the day, with a high-tide halting competition soon after.
