Four men have been arrested in a police sting in Armidale, following the group’s alleged involvement in a series of armed hold ups.
The accused were taken into custody at a shopping centre in Queen Elizabeth Drive yesterday, after they were allegedly caught holding up a food outlet in the complex at about 11.40pm.
A knife, a brick and two lengths of timber were seized at the scene and have been taken for forensic examination.
The men are assisting police with their inquiries.
