A suspected gunman who forced residents in suburban Newcastle into lock down on Saturday has been charged by police.
On Saturday afternoon, three men got into an argument on Joslin Street Kotara.
A car chase followed, and it’s alleged a 33-year-old man threatened the driver of a Nissan Navara and his two passengers with a pistol.
A 33-year-old man was charged with predatory driving, where a knife and pistol were used.
He was refused bail and remains in custody to reappear in court on September 24.
