Tweed fire-fighters are trying to determine the cause of two volatile grass fires, which broke out in 27-degree heat yesterday afternoon.
Crews worked through the night to contain the blazes at Clothiers Creek.
“The fire was running hard. There was reports of flame height up to six to eight metres. So it was quite an intense fire and it reminds us all not to be complacent.”
