A woman’s body has been found in the backyard of a house at Greta in the Hunter Valley.
The discovery was made by a family member at around 9.30 this morning.
Police are treating the 43-year-old’s death as suspicious, and forensic crews spent the day at the scene.
A post mortem will be completed in the coming days.
