Young Tamworth rugby union star, Toby Maslen, has begun 20-16 on a high, after being selected in a New South Wales under 15s training squad.
The back rower was a standout in Northern Inland’s Junior Gold Cup squad, despite the side recording a solitary win.
The Bushrangers captain led from the front, after being named the squad’s best and fairest.
Also making selection in the group is centre Jock Thompson.
New South Wales will take on Queensland next Saturday.
