STATE CHAMPIONSHIPS WRAP UP

12 year old Justin Kim from Sydney has taken out the scratch event at the NSW primary school state golf championships at Forster-Tuncurry Golf Club today.

Over the two day, 36-hole tournament, Kim shot 23 over par for 155.

Runner up Weilang Wang finished two shots behind on 157.

In the girls scratch event, 12 year old Stefanie Hall from Flinders on the south coast took victory, hitting 32 over par 168 for the tournament.

Lilly Baker took second, finishing 36 over.

And there was good news for a local competitor, with Wingham golfer Reid Brown selected in the NSW team.

He was chosen from a field of 70 competitors to represent the state at the National Championships in Adelaide later in the year.
