YOUNG SCIENTISTS WIN WORLD AWARD
Three students from Lisarow High School have been thrust onto the world stage, after receiving an international science award.
Tyler Hayter, Taylor Cheetham and Brooke Khoury entered their research into tooth decay into a competition by the International Statistical Literacy Project – and won.
The budding scientists observed the deterioration of teeth from household drinks.
“Every week I would go and check them for 5 weeks and observe size, colour and then at then at the end look at how hard they were to break or squish”, Mr Hayter said.
The students also won 450 euros, or almost $670, for their efforts.
