FOREST FIRE NEAR ARRAWARRA

Rural Fire Service volunteers from brigades around Woolgoolga are fighting to contain a forest fire west of Arrawarra.

The fire, which has burnt out around one hundred acres of forest, is believed to have started on private property.

Late this afternoon there were five brigades involved in the operation which is expected to run into the night.

RFS firefighters and staff of New South Wales Forests hope to stop the fire on Nash’s Road near the Pacific Highway.
