A newcastle nurse has had a reason to celebrate this week despite the pandemic, notching up half a century in the profession.
Times, and the uniform, have changed considerably since Chris Botham started out in 1970.
“It was secretary work or hairdressing or nursing, and my mother thought that I’d probably make a good carer, so it was nursing.” – Chris Botham, Nurse.
Her 50-year career has included stints in maternity, disability, mental health and now, aged care.
