Budding authors and book worms had the chance to hear from some of the industry’s best and brightest today,as the Sydney’s Writers Festival made its way to Taree through live streaming technology.
“Instead of seeing something that’s been recorded and watching it on tv in your lounge room you are actually part of it and you can hear the other participants in Sydney laughing and engaging,” Program Coordinator Margie Kirkness said.
It was an event first, with Taree one of 11 regional locations to take part.
A range of seminars were held throughout the day including interviews with prolific writers like Kate Grenville and Barrie Cassidy.
