PUPPY FARM TO BE DISCUSSED AT GWYDIR COUNCIL

The owners of a puppy farm, located on the eastern border of the Gwydir Shire, have lodged a development application with council to improve the facilities.

Mayor John Coulton says he’s been inundated with emails and petitions from all over the world, demonstrating strong opposition to the facility, but maintains council will consider the application in terms of its compliance.

The RSPCA and a number of councillors inspected the Onus Street property on Tuesday.

Council will discuss the application at next month’s meeting.
