STATE CUP CONTRACT EXTENDED

Port Macquarie-Hastings Council has secured another 12 months hosting rights for the NSW Touch Football State Cup. It means the contract will run to the end of next year, alongside the Junior State Cup, which expires in 2018. RECORD NUMBER OF TEAMS AT TOUCH FOOTY COMPETITION

A record number of touch football teams went head-to-head today at the North Coast Christian School Zone Gala Day in Lismore. 500 players took part in the competition, with Casino dominating play. The school took out the junior and open girl finals. Meanwhile, Summerland Christian College beat Port Macquarie’s Heritage Christian School in the open boys final, 5-1. (NO AUDIO)
