A 21-year-old man has been granted bail after allegedly punching a police officer in the face in Armidale over the weekend.
Police were called to the Beardy street mall on Saturday night after receiving reports that a man had been been causing trouble.
He’s been charged with offensive conduct, assault police, resist arrest and malicious damage to police property.
He will reappear in Armidale local court on May 27.
