ELITE CYCLING TEAM LAUNCHED IN PORT MACQUARIE

Port Macquarie is set to become home to an elite women’s cycling group following today’s launch of the Tineli Race team.

“The team is a group of strong girls not just from Port Macquarie but the team is based out of Port Macquarie which is very exciting for cycling in general and the town of Port Macquarie, Kitchen said.

The local cyclist will be a shinning star in the squad, embarking on its inaugural season in the National Road bike series.

“I think it’s a bit about focusing on one or two events seriously and getting some good experience so that we’re able to they can really target the overall series next season,” she said.

The series is the pinnacle of women’s cycling in Australia and will see the team compete next weekend in the Cadel Evans Great Ocean Road Race.
