Parents are being urged to reinforce the stranger danger message to their children after a man tried to lure a young girl into his car with a lollipop at Werris Creek, nearTamworth.
The 7-year-old was was approached by a man driving a dark green 4WD on Tuesday afternoon around 3.30 pm. Police say he told her to get into his car, offered her a lollipop and said he’d take her home.
The girl ran away.
The man is described as being of White/European appearance aged between 25 and 35 with an olive complexion, short dark hair, a small scar under his right eye and a tattoo on his left hand.
