Former Port Macquarie radio personality, Nicholas O’Callaghan has been sentenced to 18-months jail for indecently assaulting a nine-year-old girl last year.
The 53-year-old former Southern Cross Austero news director, who previously pleaded not guilty to the charge, has a non-parole period of 12-months.
He’ll also serve a concurrent 9-month sentence for possessing child abuse material.
O’Callaghan has appealed the decision and will return to Port Macquarie court in November.
