A proposed skate park in Wollongbar has received strong support from the local community.
Skaters turned out in force on Saturday afternoon to take part in Ballina Shire Council’s community consultation regarding the development, on the corner of Rifle Range Road and Plateau Drive.
The Wollongbar Alstonville Skate Park Group says more than 30 sites have been knocked back over the last 15 years.
“We have a real opportunity here to actually build a world class facility that reflects where skating is going”
