Mariners coach Tony Walmsley is entertaining the idea of signing a marquee player in the January transfer window.

He also hasn’t ruled out bringing in a player on a short-term loan deal.
“We’re talking to Everton about options there, obviously we’ve got a raft of candidates from A-League clubs wanting to offload players, and overseas players wanting to come in.”
