A man and a woman are lucky to be alive after a ute towing a horse trailer, ran over their motorbike on Durham Road, south of East Gresford in the Hunter Valley this morning.
The male rider was pinned under the vehicle, while his female passenger was flung off the bike.
Six bystanders managed to lift the ute off the man, and drag him to safety.
The couple both suffered multiple injuries and were air-lifted to John Hunter Hospital, where they’re in a stable condition.
