‘NATIONAL BANDANA DAY’ HOPED TO RAISE $180,000 FOR CANCER AFFECTED YOUTH

It’s been a busy day for volunteers with the youth cancer charity Canteen, packaging up hundreds of bandanas.
‘National Bandana Day’ went online due to the pandemic, however sales have still gone through the roof.
And for the first time, facemasks have been sold as part of the big day.
It’s hoped the event will raise $180,000 nationwide, funding counselling sessions for young people impacted by cancer.
“The response has been phenomenal, the support we’ve been given from not only the Hunter region, but around Australia, has been phenomenal.”
Bandanas can still be purchased online for $5 and facemasks for 20.
